Last Day in Human Geo
Today in Human Geo class we spent the last class taking a test on North Korea. I got an 87% which is better than getting a C and I don't think my semester grade will change that much but I'm just glad it won't go down. Today was my last Human Geo class and now I'm in western civ. I won't have Mr. Schick as a teacher anymore. I have Mr. Teter now. I'm pretty sure this will be my last blog and I have to admit I will miss blogging about my notes. It was an easy way to earn points and it was good way to study. I hope I have good time in western civ.

North Korea Review
Today in Human Geo we reviewed for our last test on North Korea. We went through a power point that was mostly about North Korea's government and their three leaders they've had. Their leaders have been Kim IL Son and Kim Jon Il. There current leader is Kim Jon Un. I'm going to try my hardest to study for this test because it is the last grade of the quarter and semester.

North Korea Documentary Part 2
Today we continued to watch the North Korea documentary. The documentary shows a lot about how the people of North Korea live. Most of the people view their leader as a god and they believe he does no wrong. In fact when one of the american camera person asked if the "great leader" does anything wrong, the people seemed confused at why she would even ask that. Its sad seeing some of the movie with the patients getting there eyes checked because it seems like they are in bad health. Most of North Korea has a very poor nation.

North Korea Documentary
Today in class we started watching a documentary about North Korea with very rare video footage of the country. A doctor that helps with the blind was let into the country and used a camera team to act as his medical team. Most of the time the camera team had to sneak camera shots becuase North Korea is a very secluded country. The weirdest thing about North Korea to me is how they put up fake buildings to make it seem that their country was actually nice. Also how the people of North Korea veiw there leader as a God and worship on the ground he walks on. I feel bad for the people of that country because they have no idea of the world around them.

Korea
North Korea
- Nuclear Weapons
- They hate South Korea
- oppressive governement
- very secluded and isolated from the world
- currently headed by Kim Jong-Un
- Kim Jong-Un didn't seem to like the interview
Oppressive Governement
- state-run socialitsts governemnt that many considered to be Stalinist dictatorship
- official name: Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)
- notice that they say "Korea," not North Korea - they claim to be the legitimate rulers of the entire peninsula and South Korea does the same thing
Secluded and Isolated
- isolated by the government
- also somewhate isolated geographically
- after all, they are on a peninsula
- Pyongyang is the capital - located at 39 degrees north (latitude) and so is Bel Air, Maryland

Class Review
For the last class before exams our class had a review for the long mod 1 class. We went over the stuff we learned at the very beginning of the year like Socrates and Arete. On Mr. Schick blog he posted exactly what would be on the exams and how many questions would be on the this certain topic. Mr. Schick even put the essays questions on his blog which is very helpful so thanks for that. I'm really nervous to take the exam tomorrow because I have 80 in this class and odds are that grade is going to get lower. So instead of B I have a big chance of getting a C. I hope I do well and don't damage my whole semester grade.
