- Organization- Through middle school I was really bad at remember where I put things so through my freshman I'm going to try my best to keep everything in my locker, binders, and folders organized.
- Homework- I've always done my homework at the last minute and now that I'm in high school and my homework pile will probably be much higher than before, I need to set a side more time for homework.
- Concentration- I think concentrating in class in really important because you never know what might be on a test.
- Studying- When a teacher says there's gonna be a test or a quiz tomorrow, take it seriously and study.
- Note taking- In every class the teacher expects you to write down notes and I need to try and listen for the right things to write down in the right way.

Day 2
Today in human geography we learned how to properly send the urls to Mr. Schick. It was a embarrassing knowing that I was one of the ones who had trouble with it but I guess going over it in class is the only way to really learn. Next we went over the syllabus and the rules of the classroom. The one thing I like about John Carroll is how straight forward the teachers are with what were going to be doing through out the term. My middle school never did that. In almost every class the teachers don't allow extra credit including Human Geography and the way they explain why makes me understand why.

First Day of School
My first day at John Carroll was the same as I thought it would be, which is a good thing. Every class I knew someone from either the soccer team or my old school. I could tell right of the bat what teacher would be stricter than others just by hearing there opening introduction. Today, I think, was the most time I had ever said my own name. I finally figured out how to work the combination on my locker by the end of the day which may seem stupid to others but it made me proud of myself none the less. I don't think I'm ever going to understand the bell schedule at least until the end of my senior year. Most of the teachers had explained that there not completely caught up with the new technology what they don't know is that I'm horrible with understanding laptops too. My first day at John Carroll was a good one.
