Five Major Religions

      Christianity is the number one religion. Two point two billion people are adherents. Geographical location of Christians is Europe, the Americas, Southern Africa. The demonations of Christianty is catholic church, easter orthodox, protestant. The founder is Jesus Christ and the holy book is the bible espiecially the New Testament. The main belief of the Christians is that Jesus is both human and divine. The Pope is the head of the Church and priests are the local authorities. There is one point five billion islam people and is the second largest religion. They calll themselves Muslims.Their geographical location is in Indonesia, Middle east and North Africa. The Denominatiosn are Sunnis (75-90%) and, Shiites (10-20%). The founder is Muhammud (570-632) amd their holy book is Qur'an. Muslims see their purpose in life as serving and submittin to Allah (God), and observing Islamic Law. Hinduism is the third largest religion with one point one billion and are called Hindus. Their geographical is India and Nepal. Their holy book is the Vendes - ethernal truth revealed to ancient sages. The don't have a distinct founder. It is not exactly viewed as a religion, it is more considered a way of life. They believe after you die your soul goes to another body. The fourth largests is Buddhism with 500 million to 1.5 billion and are called Buddhists. Their geographicla location is South East Asia, China, Nepal, Japan and their are about 1.2 million Buddhists in the United States. The founder of Buddhism is Siddhartha Gautama better known as Budha. Their demonations are Tibertan, Zen, Theravada, and Amidist.
