A message from Garcia
Today in class we talked more about a message to Garcia. We talked about what the author might have been feeling during writing this. It showed how he felt about the next generation. The author complained and complained about how unreliable the next generation was. He quoted that it takes a good man or women to do the job when the boss wasn't even there. I learned that there's no shame in being poor if you work hard. I like that saying a lot because there can be a rich person who has done absolutely nothing with there life but they inherited their parents money and then a poor person who works everyday, all day and has next to nothing. After talking about a message to Garcia for a while Mr. Schick explained to us how the story was a metaphor. Next, Mr. Schick stressed and stressed to us how only a little over half the nation votes. I think that's very sad considering I always hear people talking about politics around me and some of them don't even vote. When I'm older I'm going to vote for who I want in office instead of complain about who it ends up being.
