Population and Settlement
In friday's class we talked about population and settlement. Mr. Schick showed us a powerpoint of different stats about the number of people dying and being born. Right now there are 7 billion people on the planet and is increasing by 73 million each year. In years to come our world will most likely be overcrowded and we will start running out of nonrenewable resources. I learned how there is very low life expectancy in chad and how they don't even have enough clean water. 90% of the population growth takes place in development countries like Africa, South and East Asia, and Latin America. When we talked about life expectancy I was very surprised to see U.S. low in this. I think that if people in the U.S. want to live longer they need a better diet.
